Why is the user "NT AUTHORITY\System" deleting my Windows Defender tasks in Task Scheduler on Windows 11?

Lately I've been running into an issue where I can't control when Windows Defender scans run because every time I try and set a trigger for them, the tasks controlling when it runs get deleted and re-created with default settings, as well as a last run time of November 30, 1999 at midnight. I need to fix this because I suspect Windows Defender scans may be causing massive lag spikes that slow down my entire computer.

I've looked into Event Viewer to see Task Scheduler's event log and I found the message [User "NT AUTHORITY\System deleted Task Scheduler task \Microsoft\Windows\Windows Defender(task) for all four of the sub-tasks in the Windows Defender folder.

Is there any way to either disable the task deletions or automatically change the setting back to my old ones?
