For a Windows 7 PC is it possible to do a direct upgrade to a later/latest Windows or there should be some kind of intermediate upgrades? Asking in the sense of a minimal effort/disruption in terms of data/files in the PC.
To clarify after the comments of @music2myear:I don't need to upgrade to the very latest Windows e.g. Windows 11.
If upgrade from 7 to 8 is very easy/safe/possible and 8 is not being phased out soon that is fine for me.
