From time to time, I like to capture the “Windows 10 System Window”: “Control Panel⧵Programs⧵Programs and Features⧵Uninstall or change a program”. Same for Task Manager Windows, Services Windows, etc.
Over time, the programs accumulate and I want to have a "picture" of them. In addition, I activate all the columns (Names, Publisher, Installed On, Size, Version, Location, Source, Comments, Contact, etc.).
Therefore, this makes a very long scrollable window horizontally and vertically.
I do not want to record the screen. I do not want to use "DOS" (Command Prompt), nor PowerShell.Likewise, I just want to take a screenshot, WYSIWUG. Furthermore, I want a PNG or JPG image. I do not want a PDF.
Now, and I have no affiliation with this software, the “only” one I have found is “FastStone Capture”. It is paid and far from perfect. It is very slow (to capture image of +300 software installed using Control Panel). However, it gets the job done.
I have tried the following software and none of them can capture a very long scrolling window horizontally and vertically automatically as FastStone Capture does.
Software tested and "not working":FastStone Capture, PicPick, Screenshot Captor, SnagIt, Snapshot tool.
I believe that for the moment, in 2024, no software is capable of doing everything, and they must be combined. For example FastStone Capture for the “Control Panel⧵Programs⧵Programs and Features⧵Uninstall or change a program” window, SnagIt to capture the “Services” system window (FS does not work with this window).
Maybe one day there will be software capable of capturing (in image form and not video) anything we want, web windows, system windows, application windows, etc.
If one of you have a suggestion, my mind is open.
