Using a Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 running Windows 11 (upgraded from Windows 10 a few months ago). The device used to be connected to the Active Directory we use at work - after the employer allowed me to own it as my personal device, I disconnected it from the corporate AD and I have been using it since then with a private/personal Microsoft account.
Yet, I can't configure the screen-lock time to more than fifteen (15) minutes. Any value higher than 15 minutes I enter in the "Wait" counter in the Screensaver configuration box, it gets reset to 15. I cannot completely disable the screen-lock either.
I had this problem while I was using Windows 10 on the system and it "survived" through an upgrade to Windows 11.
I suspect that the laptop has received some relevant domain policy back when it was joined to the corporate AD that somehow has not been removed from it when I switched to WORKGROUP. I have been trying to fix this for months researching a lot on the Internet and applying different solutions - have not had any success so far, though.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,Panos.
