On Friday afternoon I was assisting one of my coworkers with the installation of some apps and other miscellaneous things. The last of her requests had to do with changing her sign-in display name. I was unsure of how to go about doing this, but I remembered doing it once before and so I went about changing it haphazardly.
On her desktop, I changed her name by going to Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Manage User Accounts. From there I clicked on the only user profile that appeared, and I edited it by clicking on its properties. All I did was change the "User name" from "Douglas" to "Kristen." I was prompted to restart my computer for the changes to be implemented. However, when I got back to the login in screen my sign in changed from "Douglas" as the username to "Douglas\Kristen."
Now when my coworker attempts to log back in she is unable to because it says her password is incorrect even though its the one she's always used and the one I setup for her.
