Good afternoon everybody!
I tried burning an OS to an SSD connected to my computer via a SATA USB cable, using the WinToHDD software. The disk is 1TB, WD label and I believe it is not original, as the owner bought it on Shopee for a price well below what it should cost in renowned online stores.
However, during the burning process, after selecting the ISO and the disk in WinToHDD, Windows Security prevented any changes to the disk, and this ended up making it Unallocated. So I disabled Windows Security's real-time protection and now WinToHDD encounters an error whenever I try to record. I have already formatted the disk several times with Minitool Partition Wizard and I even tried to copy the partition that contained the OS from another SSD using this other software, without success.
Please note that this Windows Security action was repeated with another SSD I have, from Kingston, which is legitimate. And after formatting in Minitool Partition Wizard and disabling Windows Security protection, I was able to install the OS on this other one. As for the disc in question, I don't know what to do. I downloaded programs that analyzed the SSD's health (CrystalDiskInfo, HD Tune and Victoria) and they all say it's fine, so I have no idea what's going on and how to solve it.
What can I do to fix this problem and finally install the OS on it with WinToHDD? Unfortunately with the computers I have, I can't install any OS with installation CDs.
